Iphone 5 will not have pre-installed YouTube app?
Even as speculations continue to circultate about Apple's next iteration , buyers are in a confusion whether to wait for the next iPhone or to go for an Android smartphone.
According to a report on The Washington Post, there will be no pre-installed YouTube app in the next version of the operating system, which has also been confirmed by the Verge.
Apple reportedly said that its license from YouTube to include the app in iOS has expired, though users can watch YouTube through the Web browser. YouTube will be developing its own app for devices running iOS 6, the company reportedly said, while another report said the current YouTube app will be available on all devices running iOS 5.
It may be noted that Apple has already introduced its own maps programme for its next operating system, taking over for Google Maps.
Besides, Apple is also expected to release its new mobile operating system, iOS 6, possibly alongside a new iPhone and a mini-iPad.
All these facts are very much part of the ongoing rumour as the launch date of iPhone 5 is inching closer i.e, Sept 12.
Earlier the rumours were that the new device would be launched in the first week of August, 2012, but the latest information about Apple's next iteration came through Verizon CFO Fran Shammo, who hinted at its release in the fourth quarter.
Among other rumours, the new iPhone is expected to have a screen size of 3.75", and the headphone socket will move from the top-left of the phone to the bottom-left of the phone.
Besides, it is also expected to be thinner than ever through confirmed use of in-cell display technology.
Other new features include adding LTE 4G cellular service, a higher-resolution camera on the front and back of the iPhone and a quad-core A6 processor.
The Apple is coming out with its new device in the wake of gruelling competition and the recent launches like Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S III, Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx.

Finalized Version of Windows 8 Shipped Off to Manufacturers
With the official launch of Windows 8 scheduled for October 26,
Microsoft is giving its OEMs and manufacturers nearly three months to
prepare its product releases in time. The finalized version of Windows 8 has emerged from the Microsoft labs and it has been signed off for distribution to Microsoft’s various hardware partners.
This way, companies like Lenovo and Acer can start loading up the OEM installation on their desktops and notebooks, as well as their Windows 8 tablets. This final version, dubbed build 9200, is also being sent to Asus and Toshiba, as well as presumably many other manufacturing partners. After all, I’m pretty sure Microsoft wants Windows 8 to come roaring out of the gate at the end of October.
While regular folk won’t be able to buy Windows 8 until October 26, developers can download it via MSDN on August 15, giving them a little over two months to prepare for the retail launch as well. This also gives Microsoft time to set up the Windows Store, accepting submissions for paid apps from developers.

MetaWatch’s Strata: The World’s First iOS6-Compatible SmartWatch
The idea of the “smart watch” is nothing new, but the MetaWatch
STRATA certainly seems to take the concept to whole new heights with its
new iOS 6-compatible design. This unique sports watch uses Bluetooth
4.0 technology and can connect with your iPhone or Android phone in
order to push certain information to your wrist, making life all the
more convenient. This smart watch not only can alert you about incoming
calls, display text message, emails and social network updates but also
has many on-screen widgets at their disposal for weather, appointments,
stock prices, and of course the time. Unlike many similar watches, the
MetaWatch STRATA can even keep existing widget information for viewing,
even when the smartphone it is paired to is out of range. Once your
device is back in range, it will update again and resume, but it’s nice
to have an offline mode.
Probably the best thing about the STRATA is its open source embedded system that is open to changes and tweaks from developers and hackers alike. This means that the STRATA has even more potential down the road through tweaks and changes. The bad news? At least for the moment this product is a Kickstarter project and not a fully available product, but the company is in line to start its first shipments to Kickstarter backers in September, so you don’t have to wait that long. If the STRATA sounds right up your alley all it takes is a minimum pledge of just $159 to secure your copy with choice colors of blue/black, tangerine/black, green/black and camouflage/black styling. Want something even more unique? You can secure a customized special edition for just $299.

Don’t Worry, iPhone 5′s Small Connector Will Have A 30-Pin Adapter
There has been a lot of back and forth about what a smaller dock connector
on the new iPhone and other future Apple devices could mean for the
company, for users and for all those 30-pin accessories. There have been
many users who feel like the change isn’t a good one and are angry that
they’ll have to get new docking station clocks and other components in
order to make the switch to the iPhone 5 and future iPad offerings, but
this isn’t necessarily the case. Inside sources within Apple’s supply
chain have confirmed that there will be an official adapter that allows
the iPhone 5 to connect and work with the older 30-pin dock connector.
While we don’t know for sure if that means it will be an included item with the new iPhone or simply an optional accessory to buy, the important thing is that you won’t have to throw out the vast majority of your iGoodies. It wouldn’t be terribly surprising though if Apple did include the adapter in its first generation of smaller-size connector products in order to help ease the transition. The bad news is that an adapter may not work with all accessories, and will largely depend on how big the adapter is and whether or not it will cause items that are tightly fitted with the current 30-pin system to no longer work, but at least for the vast majority of accessories it should be fine.
Why is Apple doing this when they have such a huge library of accessories and thriving 30-pin-based ecosystem? It’s about evolution of design, sometimes you have to make hard changes in order to move forward. The new iPhone 5 might new the additional space, it might help make products smaller, they may just not like the aesthetic look of having such a huge connector on ultra-sleek devices- whatever the reason, it’s a move that Apple likely didn’t take lightly.
Is there still a chance that the rumored small-pin adapter is nothing more than a rumor? Possibly, but everyday with more and more rumors, news and gossip about the smaller connector, it is seeming more and more likely that Apple is finally moving away from their 30-pin standard.

Latest iPhone 5 Rumors
Apple certainly has to make sure that the sixth generation iPhone
is something different, since most iFans were not too happy about the
4S. It appears like the device will indeed be different, coming with a
LiquidMetal casing and the earlier rumored LTE support to keep up with
the times, if the new rumors are to be believed that is.
According to Gene Munster, analyst for Piper Jaffray, Qualcomm is getting ready to supply the LTE chipset for the next iPhone and the device will possibly be launched this October. Nothing unbelievable about that launch date as it is a year after the iPhone 4S’ announcement.
But what’s more interesting is the info that the upcoming iPhone might be housed in a LiquidMetal casing. In case you are imagining the iPhone in liquid state, LiquidMetal is an alloy of titanium, nickel, copper, zirconum and other metals. If this material is used for making the casing, it will give you the feeling of glass but will be physically tough and also resistant to wear, scratches and dents. Which means those iPhone repair stores which are sustained solely off broken iPhone screens may have a tough future.
Since objects made of LiquidMetal can be formed with a process like injection molding, it is possible to make different physical forms. We are expecting a unique unibody casing.
A new design will always be welcomed as the current iPhone design has been here for nearly two years. And Apple has the exclusive rights to use LiquidMetal in electronic products; their first product was an iPhone SIM card ejector tool. Many other manufacturers are already into new materials for their phones, but the iPhone 5 (or the new iPhone or maybe iPhone T1000 or whatever it will be called) will be more attractive with the benefits of LiquidMetal.

Google Warned Samsung That Galaxy Tablets Were Too Similar To The iPad
The Samsung and Apple patent war has certainly had some interesting
ups and downs so far, with recent events including the extension of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 ban in Germany and other parts of the EU and, in contrast, a decision in the UK that requires Apple to post notifications
online and in newspapers stating that the Galaxy Tab line didn’t copy
Apple. As you can tell, the battle is not only heated but the results of
the legal war vary considerably depending on where they are fighting at
in this globally-reaching dispute.
Regardless of whether you feel that Apple’s stance against Samsung is right or wrong, it seems that a new damning piece of evidence has now reached Apple’s hands. A set of documents have leaked out that Apple plans to use in court, in which Google warned Samsung that the design for the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 10.1 were too similar and even famous designers apparently cautioned Samsung that the Galaxy S looked too much like the iPhone because of its shape and overall design elements. Apple hopes to use these internal memos to help prove that Samsung intentionally designed their products to look as close to the iPhone and iPad as they possibly could. It’ll be interesting to see what a Judge makes of all this. Supposedly, according to All Things D, Samsung has soon internal design presentations from 2006 that show a UI very similar to that in the iPhone and might use that as part of the argument, or even that Samsung may make mention of how many of Apple’s designs even seem to mimic early Sony designs.
It’s hard to say where the next chapter in this war will lead, but it’s clear that we have yet to see anything yet and a rocky road of legal proceedings still lie ahead.
